PCI 5.1 certified cVEND terminal family provides future-proof payment applications

cVEND plug, cVEND box/box+ and cVEND PIN are certified until April 2026

Contactless payment terminals cVEND plug, cVEND box and cVEND box+ receive same as cVEND PIN the PCI 5.1 certification valid until April 2026.

From now on, FEIG ELECTRONIC will sell all contactless payment terminals of its cVEND product family with PCI PTS 5.1 certification, thereby demonstrating the future-proofing of its payment terminals.

For companies that want to implement contactless payment systems in ticket, vending and parking ticket machines, in kiosk systems or charging stations, this certification provides the highest possible investment security since the terminals may be used for new installations in the field until at least 2026.

Although the previous and still valid PCI PTS 4.x certification of the payment terminals cVEND plug and cVEND box / box +, which have been established on the market for many years, would have enabled sales until 2023, a recertification was carried out in order to provide the market with clear evidence regarding the planning and future-proofing the product family.

In parallel with the PCI 5.1 certification, the EMVCo Level 1 re-certification and re-certifications of the Level 2 contactless kernels for American Express, Discover, Mastercard and VISA have been successfully completed, too.

The cVEND terminal family from FEIG ELECTRONIC continues to offer maximum service life, the highest level of security and maximum flexibility for all contactless payment applications in addition to its outstanding product features.
