At the first trade fair of 2023, FEIG ELECTRONIC was able to welcome a prominent visitor at the Perimeter Protection in Nuremberg with the Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann.
As part of a tour of the trade fair, the minister was explained the FEIG solutions for site security, access control and parking.
Perimeter Protection is the start of the 2023 trade fair season and is dedicated to the key areas of perimeter protection, fence technology and building security.
In this environment, FEIG ELECTRONIC shows its RFID-based solutions for access control as well as other RFID and sensor components in addition to its comprehensive range of controls for industrial doors, bollards and barriers.
Dr. Boris Raith, VP of Sales CONTROLLER & SENSORS at FEIG, welcomed the minister accompanied by the two managing directors of the NürnbergMesse Group at the central exhibit of the FEIG stand, the model of a barrier system in which various FEIG products were shown in operation.
Here, not only the drive for opening and closing the barrier boom is connected to a frequency converter control from FEIG. In addition, it is connected to two RFID access control readers (UHF for long-range identification and HF for short-range identification) and a loop detector along with a loop as an impulse generator for opening and closing the barrier. A contactless payment terminal for paying the parking fee completes the model.
Trade fair visitors from the field of building security were particularly interested in the new PROFINET network card TST RCCA, which makes door controls network-capable and doors can communicate directly with a higher-level control unit.
For applications in building management, the door systems can be integrated into the climate control, the alarm system and the maintenance system. For example, the doors can take on automatic ventilation functions. Central control of gates can also be implemented without any problems.
